Proud of Our Own!

This past weekend, one of our very own students and first responders, Nick Barger, had the opportunity to compete in a Jiu-Jitsu tournament at the Battle of Boots & Badges.

Nick did absolutely amazing, and we couldnโ€™t be prouder of him! Your dedication, discipline, and commitment both on the mats and in service to our community are truly inspiring.

Thank you, Nick, for all you do!

The BJJ team was back on the mats last night, putting in the work!

As always, there were plenty of laughs, lots of sweat, and maybe even a few tears. That's what happens when you push yourself alongside an awesome team.

Great work, everyone! We hope to see you all back on the mats tonight for another great session.

Amazing class last night at London Martial Arts!

Huge shoutout to everyone who showed up, put in the work, and got some great rounds in. Your dedication is what makes this team special.

A very special thank you to our guests, Gina Elliott and Natilee from 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu in Richmond, for coming out and sharing the mats with us. Your support means the world to us, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to train with our team.

Looking forward to the next one!

Wow... it's already August!

School starts in just one week, and we know the first couple of weeks can be hectic for everyone. Between getting back into routines, school schedules, and everyday responsibilities, stress can build up fast.

If you need to work off some anxiety, clear your mind, or just take a break from the daily grind, stop by London Martial Arts and train for an hour or two. You'll get a great workout, sharpen your skills, and leave feeling better than when you walked in.

We've got you covered. See you on the mat!

Rain, sunshine, or somehow both at the same time... that's what the weather has been giving us lately.

But we still train.

Just like these kids, showing up, putting in the work, and getting a little better every session. That's what martial arts is all about: consistency, discipline, and never letting the weather decide your progress.

Hopefully, we'll see you on the mats soon!

I wanted to get more women involved in the sport. I've trained in this male-dominated sport for 10 years and have rarely had a consistent female training partner.

Every woman should have the knowledge and confidence to defend herself if needed. Martial arts builds both physical and mental strength while teaching practical self-defense skills.

Martial arts is a full-body workout that improves strength, endurance, and cardio all at once. With consistency, you'll get stronger, build confidence, and learn how to defend yourself both standing and on the ground.

London Martial Arts Monthly Hygiene Reminder!

Your monthly reminder that your training partners signed up for martial arts... not biological warfare.

Wash your Gi and rash guards after every class.

Striking students: We're looking at you, too! If your boxing gloves and shin guards live in your gym bag 24/7, they're not "breaking in"โ€”they're marinating.

Here are a few easy tips to keep your gear (and teammates) happy:

Wash your Gi and rash guards after every training session.

Take your gloves and shin guards out of your gym bag as soon as you get home.

Open the gloves completely so they can air dry.

Let your gear dry in a well-ventilated area.

Use glove deodorizer balls or a light disinfectant spray designed for sports equipment.

Clean out your gym bag every now and thenโ€”it needs a bath too!

While you're at it:

-Trim those fingernails and toenails. Nobody enjoys surprise claw attacks.

-Brush your teeth before class and come with fresh breath. Your training partner shouldn't have to tap out because of your last meal.

Clean gear. Clean nails. Fresh breath.

Your teammates will thank you... and so will the mats.
