National Honor Society Members are selling the World's Best Kettle corn ($10 for a large bag) as a fundraiser to support their service projects. If you would like to buy a bag you can contact Mrs. Burdette, Mrs. Olson, or a member of the NHS. Orders are due on September 8th and will be delivered on September 15th.

We have had a busy and fun first week of the school year. Monday the students enjoyed team building games, beast challenges, volleyball, trivia, finish the lyrics and ice cream sundaes. Today, Cayden Boyer, Aaron Quick, Jamie Endres and Laura Fidler, came in and talked to our high school students about their careers and the types of skills that are needed in those careers. Thank you for taking your time to share your talents with our students!

This afternoon was the 2026 USA High School Clay Target League National Championship Individual Finals.Yesterday there were 1752 competitors that shot vying for the 400 spots in the finals! Going into this high caliber competition, all shooters know it will take a perfect 100/100 to win! Once a single target is missed, it is extremely difficult to maintain focus! There were 16 100 straights scored today. ATV had two members earn spots in the finals.
Congratulations to Cael Smith on his 96/100 199th place finish! (Hard to believe that competition is so tight that missing ONLY FOUR targets out of 100 places you 199th!)
Congratulations to Reid Featherlin on scoring 93/100! He earned 316th place!
Cael & Reid ended in the top11%/18% respectively of all the National qualifiers!!! We are so proud of you!!

Today are the National Finals. This morning we took the field as a squad for the first time ever on the final day.
I couldn't be more proud of our squad. They had their best round of 100 ever. We finished 29th out of the 234 teams that were here this weekend, only missing 25 of our 500 targets. Cael Smith got his first ever 100 straight! Up next the individual finals.

What a day! Things get really hectic when you bring 11 athletes to the National Tournament! Overall we had a fantastic day with two qualifying for the individual finals with personal best scores. Cael Smith had a 99/100 and Reid Featherlin had 97/100. We were so close to having four more qualify. 400 kids move on to championship day (basically it takes a 96/100 to make it). Blake Shelby just missed with 95/100. Logan Shelby, Rocky Meyer, and Cole Tracey each had personal bests of 94/100. Next it was Dakin Mann 92/100, then Seth McClure 90/100. Rounding out the squad were Makayla Yackley 88/100, Heath Smith 84/100 and Greyson Douglas 63/100. Out of the 1752 competitors today, we had 7 in the top 1/3. Like I said, what a day!!

The SRV FFA is putting on a classic tractor ride in Fairview as a fundraiser for the chapter. We will be leaving from the Fairview sale barn at 10 am on Saturday July 18th, going for an hour long drive before stopping for lunch and then heading back to town.
