We work tirelessly on a daily basis to provide the best day care center to our “Pioneer” families. Below are some facts we wanted to share on how we are continuing to keep all the children, staff, and parents safe.
▪️The children change their masks so frequently because of sneezing, coughing, after meal time, etc. we use roughly 150 masks a day in our center. Every mask is washed on site daily. We do not want a child to wear a wet mask. Yuck!
▪️Governor Pritzker recently mandated that all staff in licensed daycare centers be vaccinated against COVID-19 or undergo weekly testing. We are proud to say that every one of our staff members has been fully vaccinated since March of 2021.
▪️Moving forward, we are only hiring staff members who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Working with children who are still developing their immune system, our main priority is to keep them as safe as possible.
▪️In addition to taking each child’s temperature as they enter in the morning, we are continuing to do temperature checks on each child every day at lunch time. According to the CDC, the most common symptom of COVID-19 is a fever, so we continue to monitor all the children throughout the day to minimize any sort of spread.
▪️Whenever the children get to their classroom, they wash their hands upon entering.
▪️After the children have their outside time in the play yard, they come in, sit on the benches and have a cup of water, then the older children get another clean mask.
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced an executive order Friday requiring workers at daycare facilities to receive the COVID-19 vaccine or submit to weekly testing requirements. NBC 5’s Natalie Martinez reports.
