Medical school takes a lot from your schedule. That doesn’t mean it has to take everything.

Our fourth-year medical students’ advice: make space for the people, routines and activities that help you recharge. Protecting time outside of medicine can help you come back more focused and ready to learn.

What helps you reset during a busy week?

Did you know that Loma Linda University School of Medicine offers regional campus opportunities for medical students to complete their clinical training? 🩺✨

It was great having Vincent Hsu, MD, associate dean for academic affairs, and Michael Cacciatore, MD, chief clinical officer at AdventHealth Orlando, at our Loma Linda University campus. They spent time meeting with students and sharing more about the Regional Campus experience and clinical training opportunities, while also touring the campus. Joined by Dr. Tamara Thomas, dean of LLU School of Medicine, and Elaine Hart, MD, assistant dean of regional campuses, the visit was a great opportunity to strengthen connections across our campuses and continue supporting our students throughout their medical education.

Our LLUSM regional campuses at AdventHealth Orlando in Florida and at Kettering Health in Dayton, Ohio help create unique clinical training experiences for the next generation of physicians! šŸŒŽšŸ©ŗ DM us for more information about the regional campus experience.

One of the best resources in medical school? The people teaching you.
Our fourth-year students recommend asking attendings and residents for specific feedback throughout your rotations — not just at the end. The earlier you know where you can improve, the more time you have to put that feedback into practice.

Ask. Apply. Improve. Repeat.
