TOMORROW, May 22nd, at 7:00 PM (Doors open at 6:40), at the City on a Hill Church in Loganville, GA, the Walton Youth Chorale/Youth Players will be holding their FINAL Walton Youth Showcase! Filled with choral pieces, improv games, and theatrical scenes from various productions that will surely entertain you, all brought to you by a very talented group of students aged 9-18! Come on down to see the show!

Dear all current and former members, friends, family, and supporters of the Walton Youth Chorale/Players:

After months of fervent prayer and seeking The Lord, we have decided that after 14 years of serving the community through the fine arts that we love, we will be closing the Walton Youth Chorale/Players and all of its operations. Our last performance will be our Walton Youth Showcase on May 22nd of this year.

We have enjoyed every rehearsal, performance, and production that has come through our programs, and we are grateful to The Lord for allowing us to have operated for so many years. Coming to this conclusion has been very difficult for all of us involved within the directors of the Walton Youth Chorale/Players, but as the Will of The Lord came first in starting these programs, the Will of The Lord must come first in its closing as well.

We want to express how thankful we are to every student over the years who has been involved in any way in any of our productions. God has brought us so many talented students every semester. Those students consistently put on marvelous performances every year, and that allowed us to continuing operating for longer than we could have ever imagined.

All the glory goes to God for our programs in its opening, operation, and closing. To our students, current and former, being your directors has been a privilege that we will always be grateful for. We will greatly miss running our programs, and we pray for the best for all of you in all of your endeavors.

Beginning tomorrow, three WYC students, Gwyn Morgan, Josie Morgan, and Ashby Pulsipher, will head to Athens for a three-day singing experience like no other! They are going to participate in the 2023 Georgia All State Chorus!

A big congratulations to these students. Please keep them in your prayers! Two full days of rehearsing on Thursday and Friday, and a dress rehearsal and *FREE* concert on Saturday!

For anyone interested in attending the concert, it is at the CLASSIC CENTER in Athens this Friday, February 18th. Middle school choirs begin at 3:00 PM. High school choirs begin at 5:00 PM, beginning with 9/10 Mixed (including Josie and Ashby) and followed by Senior Treble (including Gwyn).

These three students have passed both auditions to be accepted into the 2023 Georgia All State Chorus!

Director Benji Lalaian will take these three students to the Classic Center in Athens for three days of rehearsing leading up to the All State Chorus concert at the Classic Center on February 18th! Please be in prayer for our students!

TONIGHT AT 7:00 PM - the Walton Youth Showcase!!! This will be the culmination of all of the hard work the students of both the Walton Youth Chorale and Players has put in this whole semester, as well as the exhibition of our new program format!
Admission is FREE!

There will be choir music, several scenes from different musicals, movies, or skits, and some improv!

Location is the City on a Hill Church, 2436 Highway 78, Loganville, GA 30052. DOORS OPEN at 6:30 PM!
