Please don’t believe what you are hearing on any social media platforms about what you have to do for your license.
If you were licensed before 2026 you are already covered.
You will grandfather in.
That means you do not need to fill out extra applications or pay extra application fees to get these attachments to your license.
The only people that cannot do lash extensions under a Cosmetology Barber license are those getting licensed under the new structure which takes effect in January 2026.
Please hold tight and don’t do these applications.
The school owners have the best information for you because we are working directly with the lobbiests and legislators on this new licensing format.
Don’t give DOPL any money until it is all sorted out. The Bureau is recommending these attachments however they are planning to fix the verbiage so it isn’t necessary. Again, I would just hang tight.

There has been a lot of confusion going around about the new licensing structure starting in January 2026. If anyone is interested will be doing an informative meeting Thursday December 11, 2025
5:30pm at New Horizons Beauty College. We will be discussing the new changes, what to expect, and how it impacts those already licensed under Cosmetology/ Barbering . Please share this post as needed. We all need to be informed on these changes that impact our industry.
