The Mountain West Flute Orchestra is a premier, auditioned ensemble composed of professional and advanced flutists from along the Wasatch Front in Utah. Directed by Nancy Toone, this elite group performs diverse, arranged repertoire and is sponsored by the Utah Flute Association.

The MWFO has been invited to perform at the National Flute Association convention this August in Portland, Oregon! Invitation to perform at the highly regarded convention is an honor bestowed upon few ensembles each year. The group will perform in the Pre-Gala Lobby Concert.

This little collection of angel flutist figurines sits on my studio piano; There are more little statues and such scattered around the room. Most are gifts from students. The angelic ones makes me snicker because sometimes I hear that flutists are divas! 😇😈
