🐐 Meet Kortnee Selin, Platinum Performer from the Animal Sciences program!

Kortnee grew up with a love for agriculture and animals—and a deep respect for the trades, thanks to her dad. When she discovered her passion for large animals, BTECH was the obvious choice. The Animal Sciences program gave her hands-on training, unforgettable experiences (like Large Animal Day—goat chaos and all), and the tools to launch a career she truly loves.

Today, Kortnee works at Bear River Animal Hospital as a Large Animal Veterinary Technician. Her dream? To continue in this career while raising her future family on a farm. From dressing up animals for Halloween to wrangling livestock with her classmates, Kortnee has fully embraced every moment of her BTECH journey.

A former state-placing wrestler, Kortnee knows what it means to work hard and push through. Her advice to future students: Be self-motivated. Keep showing up, do more than what’s required, and never stop learning.
