We create a college going culture by showing students starting in middle school various universities and trade schools.
In a time where Americans are questioning the value of a four year degree, economic outcomes for young adults without a degree are improving.
Across decades of economic research, the pattern is remarkably consistent: people with college degrees earn more, build greater wealth, and face a lower risk of poverty. They also tend to live longer, experience better health, and participate more accurately in civic life,as documented in research by the National Center for Education Statistics.
We work with students to set them up for their dream careers and a long life.

GEAR UP alums who attended West Lake Junior High School returned to their roots to collaborate with current eighth-grade students and share their college and career journeys. The alums volunteering at the event are in their second year of college or a trade school program.
During the event, alumni were paired with West Lake Junior High eighth-graders to play college- and career-themed versions of popular games such as “Would You Rather.” Peer Leaders also learned about the colleges attended by alums and created detailed posters highlighting key facts about their assigned institution.
