Congratulations to Livia Mortensen! After finishing her bachelor’s degree in special education at USU, she came back for her graduate studies. As of today, Livia successfully defended her masters capstone. Please join Stephen Kwiatek (advisor), Heather Weese (committee member), and Trent Landon (committee member) in celebrating Livia today and at graduation in a few weeks. We are sp proud of you!

Huge congratulations to Steven Kwiatek, the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services Teacher of the Year—so well deserved! He goes above and beyond every day, building genuine connections with students and creating a classroom where everyone feels seen, supported, and inspired. We’re so lucky to have such a dedicated, involved, and truly exceptional educator in our department!
