Meet the newest member of our team.
Joanna is a first-year doctoral student in the Combined Clinical/Counseling Psychology PhD program working with Dr. Michael Twohig in the ACT Research Group. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Psychology with Honors in 2024. Prior to attending USU, she worked at Baylor College of Medicine as a clinical research coordinator in the OCD and Anxiety Program under Dr. Eric Storch. Her primary research interests surround acceptance-based treatment interventions for youth with OCD and dissemination of evidence-based treatments.

Basic Workshop Information:
• What: 1- or 2-day Acceptance and Commitment Therapy workshop.
• When: September 26th (Saturday) & September 27th (Sunday), 2026
• Where: Sorensen Center for Clinical Excellence at Utah State University, Logan, UT.
• Who: Led by Dr. Michael Twohig, PhD (peer-reviewed ACT trainer and anxiety and OCD specialist) and his 5th year graduate student, Mercedes G. Woolley.
• Why: Useful training, and you can earn up to 12 CE credits. All profits go to our research program.
