If Ronald McDonald himself were to pick his favorite McDonald's employee, it would definitely be David!

David helps keep the restaurant spotless and takes great pride in his work. He shared that he likes helping the customers and socializing with them. He enjoys the friendships he has made with his co-workers and his supervisor had this to say: "David is always positive and is great with the customers! They all really like him."

When not at work, David likes to watch movies and see his friends at various church functions throughout the week.

Way to go, David!

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)! During this month, we celebrate the contributions of workers with disabilities and strive to promote inclusive workplaces for all. NDEAM began back in 1945 as a weeklong focus; in 1988, the U.S. Congress changed it to a month-long event. This year's theme is "Celebrating Value and Talent." Here at CETC, we love to celebrate and spotlight our clients that are working out in the community, as well as those that are working on the skills needed to obtain a job! CETC's Employment Department offers our clients support with employment preparation services, such as job tries, work assessments, and working interviews, to achieve integrated employment in their community. Job coaches accompany and/or check on their clients to make sure they have the support they need to be successful at their job. Our clients are AMAZING! If you or someone you know is looking for talented, hard-working individuals, please reach out!

She has been working here at CETC for almost 10 months now and loves the lasting relationships she has made with her clients and fellow staff.
Outside of working as a DSP, you'll find her baking a yummy treat, building Legos, sewing or knitting, and watching movies!

Yesterday was National American Sign Language Day, also known as ASL!

ASL is just one of over 200 sign languages used throughout the world today. Body language is a very important part of ASL; facial expressions, hand position, gestures all play a key role! These physical expressions are just as important as rhythm and tone in spoken languages.

Some of our clients volunteered to share a word in ASL...comment on the picture/video if you can translate what word they are communicating 👋
