Using breath work and meditation as a daily practice has drastically impacted my life in the last 6+ years.
There is POWER in meditation, silence, pausing to listen to what is within me…

Today a guided throat chakra meditation brought up some big emotions related to something I experienced a long time ago.
Through the meditation, I scooped up my younger self and told her how strong and able she is.
Thank you for your gift to guide in healing.
I choose to live my life with authenticity over perfection.
I choose to speak my truth.

I don’t hate my period. I have zero negativity associated with Aunt Flow.
You have to actually flow (bleed) to know. A bleed on birth control is withdrawal bleeding NOT a menstrual bleed. Did your doctors ever tell you that?
Your period is your 5th vital sign.
Period health signs to pay attention to…
Irregularity
Missed periods
Painful or heavy periods
Uncomfortable symptoms
Spotting between periods
Color/flow
It’s not just about the time of the flow. Paying attention to your hormonal changes throughout the month is another lens into your health.
More awareness, more information, better insight on how you train in your own cycle. Training should not be the 💯 effort all the time.
I appreciate a monthly reminder to slow down just a bit. I know when my body and hormones are in better alignment to push my training and when to take it down a notch.
I have more awareness of what my body needs nutritionally throughout the month based on my cycle.
I am more in tune with what’s going on emotionally for me throughout the month.
A handful of years ago I slowed down enough to notice what my cycle was telling me (beyond ovulation/baby making) and it’s pretty empowering.❤️ Thank you .

👊🏻mindset shifts/growth are not immediate
👊🏻loosing fat in a healthy way takes time
👊🏻consistency is key
👊🏻navigating change has ups and downs
👊🏻new habits take repetition before it’s part of your lifestyle
Extreme measures for a “quick fix,” will be temporary.
When your lifestyle is made up of choices that support wellness, it is just part of who you are and what you do…It takes time, but that is where true long lasting change happens. 🖤

Birth (and all things related) is a commonly heard conversation at our house with the work I do.
However, I LOVE when my kids begin to ask questions about how they came earth side…
“Mama, I lived in your belly, but how did I get out?” (Asked out of the blue by my 4 year old today)
I didn’t dumb it down. I answered strait up, you came through my birth canal and out my va**na.
I handed her [The Pregnacy Book] and sat by her side. She was so curious and wanted to know what all the pictures were. Then she went to grab a notebook to write “notes.”
She will likely not remember a word of what I told her today. However, I have no doubt that she will remember the way I expressed with excitement, the power of what a woman’s body is capable of.
Her birth was pure empowerment of what I am capable of, I experienced absolute strength and surrender. I told her it was a very special birth and when she’s older, I will tell her so much more.
These are the mindful moments that create change in how we show deep respect for what our bodies can do.
