The Logan-Hocking School District covers most of Hocking County, Ohio (322 sq. Hocking County (pop. ~29,000) is a scenic wonderland, especially the Hocking Hills region which includes 9 state parks. The city of Logan is the largest city ( pop. ~7500) and the county seat. Logan is known as “The Gateway to Ohio’s Scenic Wonderland”. Student enrollment is approximately 4,000 students and rising. The mascot for our Logan High School and Logan-Hocking Middle School is the Chieftain. Our school colors are Purple & White.

Logan-Hocking School District celebrated another successful "Day in the Ring" on Sept. 16! This annual event gave 126 students with developmental disabilities the chance to show a livestock project at the Hocking County Fair, each paired with a trusted mentor to guide them in the arena.

"'Day in the Ring' is truly one of the most special experiences we are able to provide for our students," said Courtney Snipes, LHSD director of special services. "Watching the excitement and pride on our students' faces is such a wonderful reminder of what makes this event so meaningful."

Thank you to the Hocking County Fair Board, Junior Fair Board, and Farm Bureau for making this event possible, and to the Loyal Order of Moose, Logan Lodge, for their generous donation providing fair treats for our students. So proud of our students, staff, and community!
