🤖 BIG NEWS: A new USU partnership is creating an exciting pathway for BTECH students!

BTECH Automation Technology and Control Systems and Robotics students now have a direct pathway to Utah State University’s new bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Automation, and Control Systems. Eligible students can apply up to 50 credits from their technical college certificates toward the degree.

As BTECH Automation Department Head and Instructor Matt Fuller put it:

“This is a huge win…and demonstrates that truly stackable pathways are an incredible way for students to thrive now and into the future.”

Students can build hands-on skills at BTECH, earn industry-ready certificates, and then take that education even further with USU—all while creating a pathway toward some of Northern Utah’s best career opportunities. 🎓⚙️

A big thank you to Swift Transportation for visiting our CDL Department to meet with students and share valuable insights about the trucking industry. From career opportunities to life on the road, our students had the chance to learn directly from experienced professionals and ask questions about what comes next after graduation.

We appreciate industry partners like Swift Transportation who invest in the success of our students and help connect classroom training with real-world careers.

Representative Blake Moore visited the Bridgerland Technical College campus today to meet with members of the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce and share updates on issues impacting our community.

During his visit, Representative Moore had the opportunity to meet with Interim President Lisa Moon and Bridgerland Technical College Board of Trustees Chair Karina Brown. We are grateful to the Cache Valley Chamber of Commerce for bringing community leaders together on our campus to collaborate, share ideas, and strengthen the partnerships that help make Cache Valley an even better place to live, work, and learn.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this meaningful conversation. We always appreciate opportunities to connect with leaders who are invested in the success of our students, workforce, and community.

🍽️✨ Platinum Performer Spotlight: Josie Goates ✨🍽️

Congratulations to Josie Goates, one of BTECH's Platinum Performers from our Culinary Arts Department! 👏🎉

Josie chose BTECH because it offered an affordable education close to home while providing a welcoming environment where she could grow, learn, and build lasting friendships. Throughout the program, she's gained valuable culinary skills, unforgettable experiences, and the confidence to pursue her dream of becoming a chef—with hopes of traveling the world along the way! 🌎👩‍🍳

One of Josie's favorite memories was helping cater a dinner for local legislators, along with the many other catering events that gave her hands-on experience in the culinary industry.

Her advice for future students:
💙 "The instructors truly have your best interests in mind and are willing to help you with anything you need to become as successful as possible."

After graduation, Josie plans to continue building her kitchen and restaurant portfolio as she works toward an exciting career in the culinary world.
