Meet our Bridger Principal: Mrs. Goodman!
We're kicking off a series highlighting the people who make Bridger special, and there's no better place to start than our principal. Here's a little more about her.
Now in her fifth year at Bridger, Mrs. Goodman has spent her entire career doing what she loves; working with kids, teachers, and school communities. She began teaching in Alaska for two years, then moved to Cache Valley, where she taught 3rd grade at Adams Elementary for 11 years and served as an Instructional Coach at Woodruff Elementary for four years before becoming our principal.
Her favorite thing about Bridger? The people. "Bridger is filled with dedicated, caring faculty and staff who truly want to make a difference in the lives of kids. There is something special about being surrounded by people who work hard, care deeply, and believe in what we can accomplish together."
Her goal this year is to keep building consistency in the Bridger Way; making sure the systems and practices that are best for kids are happening in every classroom, every day.
A little fun outside of school: she's married with two daughters and two dogs, has an identical twin sister, grew up in a family of eight kids, and is a huge Michael Jackson fan. If his music comes on, there's a very good chance she's turning it up!
And the one thing she wants families to hear: "Your children matter to us, and we will work hard every day to help them learn, grow, feel valued, and become the very best version of themselves."
