Almost exactly 2 years ago, I posted a similar picture upon moving the K-4 classroom into this space. I always loved the large windows and natural light. The kids loved how much room they had to move around. It felt like home. Now it's time for us to move on.

Don't worry, Logan friends! We're not going that far. We can't wait to show off the new space at the end of the summer. Stay tuned!

We just had our second annual student art show for our Kindergarten-Fourth Grade class! I'm so proud of how hard they worked this year.

Requirements:
🍎 At least 1 year of professional experience in teaching or childcare
🍎 Complete background check and random drug testing
🍎 Complete required training in trauma informed practices and working with neurodivergent children

Earlier this month, we partnered with the Appalachian String Initiative to bring a variety of string instruments to the K-4 classroom. Our students enjoyed a musical story time and DIY instrument craft before getting to test out a violin, viola, and cello.

If you or your child are interested in learning one of these instruments, Appalachian String Initiative will be teaching at Downtown Sound this summer!

We're spending the weekend getting ready for Kidpalooza 2026!

We'll be set up at the Hocking County Fairgrounds on Thursday, May 14th with some fun sensory play. Everyone that stops by to say hi gets their very own mini play doh for some take home sensory fun!

Preschool is finishing up their transportation unit with lots of fine motor work and experiments. We've been testing out how different materials and heights impact the speed that objects travel on a ramp.

K-4 had an outside learning day this week. We also attended a financial literacy program at the Logan Hocking Local Library. It made for a wonderful day!

We've had a few questions about our summer drop in days, so I wanted to let everyone know what our plans are for this summer! As of right now, it is unlikely that we will be offering any summer services this year. We are spending the summer renovating our classrooms and outdoor space to be better than ever by August!
