If it’s your first semester, or you’re a transfer student, make sure to have all your transcripts sent to USU so they can be articulated properly!

You can prepare for your academic advising appointment by:
1. Thinking about your educational goals, major options, and progress in your courses (if you’re already enrolled) 💭
2. Come prepared with questions to ask your academic advisor and bring any necessary materials 📝
3. Be familiar with the university policies and procedures, academic deadlines and course selections 📅
4. Know where your appointment is located 📍

Three wildland firefighters lost their lives while battling the Knowles and Gore fires at the Utah-Colorado border. Our hearts are with their families, friends, and fellow firefighters during this heartbreaking time.
USU Assistant Professor of Wildland Fire Science Brad Washa helped explain the challenges firefighters face in rapildy changing fire conditions, the importance of LCES (Lookouts, Communications, Escape Routes and Safety Zones), and how lessons from tragedies like this can help improve firefighter safety.
