As their first act as FA alumni, Angelina Posada, Marley Kraska, and Cynthia Eustache volunteered for New York Yearly Meeting!

Together, they traveled to the Silver Bay YMCA for one of three sessions New York Quakers host throughout the year. They volunteered specifically for the Junior Yearly Meeting, where they cared for children aged 0-5. During the week, they ran into former FA Quaker in Residence, John Scardina, at a sing-along, and remembered some of the Quaker songs he had taught them during their time in Lower School.

Olivia Lichota '28 aced it!

Olivia started Olivia's Youth Tennis Clinic, a four-week program designed to introduce tennis to children who have never stepped onto a court before. The clinic serves children ages 8 to 12 from the Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club, teaching everything from basic tennis fundamentals and safety tips to sportsmanship and teamwork. To make the program possible, Olivia raised $20,000 to fund transportation, coaching, tennis rackets, and other equipment needed for the children to participate. Congrats Olivia!

Lana Chiang ‘33 was honored for exceptional performance on the SAT, ACT, School and College Ability Test, or similar assessment taken as part of the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth Search! CTY uses above-grade-level testing to identify advanced students from around the world and provide a clear picture of their academic abilities.

Each year, about 16,000 students from more than 75 countries join CTY. On average, less than 30 percent of students who join CTY qualify for either high or grand honors based on their test scores. Way to go, Lana!

Congratulations to Little Friends graduates! Students marched in their caps and received their "diplomas." Each adorned with a sign noting what they would like to be when they grow up – a train conductor to a firefighter to a teacher to Princess Leia – each showcasing their wonderful and unique personalities. Congratulations to our Little Friends graduates and families!

Jenna Fragias '28, Nike Athlete! ️

You may remember that a few months ago, Jenna Fragias '28 represented NYC at the Nike TOMA Event in Miami. Well, Jenna advanced to the TOMA NYC Finals, where her team earned a spot on the final day of competition, facing some of the best talent from across the continent! At the conclusion of the event, special guest host and rapper Travis Scott (swipe to see Jenna with Travis) announced that all finalists would receive Nike contracts. Join us in congratulating Jenna!

Pre-Summer Silks with Ms. Yoaldri 🌟

This full-day Aerial Silks Program invited beginner and intermediate dancers to step into a fun and supportive atmosphere! More experienced students became mentors while advancing their skills. Throughout the program, students learned exciting techniques such as the Egg Roll, French Climb, and Russian Climb while building strength, confidence, and trust in themselves.
