Waiting for your very own Black Beauty? 🦄 Well here she is!
Echoed Starlight "Stella" is a 2022, registered Arabian X Welsh Pony cross.
This smart, athletic girl is green broke and doing fantastic under saddle, she ties, trailers, etc. etc..... all the things! I see her being very competitive in hunter/jumper, eventing, competitive trail, fox hunting, etc. At 14 hands tall she's suitable for a youth or small adult. For reference the rider in this video is about 5'7.

Belle & Stella were absolutely perfect for their first little trail ride! And only ride #11 for them both! It's only letting me upload videos one at a time so look at the next couple posts for a quick clip.

Ride #7 for both Belle & Stella today, they are both SO good! 😊❤️
We're working on staying between the reins, responding softly to the bit and promptly to the leg. This was also the first ride that we cantered Stella. You would think you'd want to introduce canter with the rider on the lunge line for safety (just like we do with walk and trot), however, it's much more difficult for the horse to balance and manage the weight of the rider on a small circle. A straight line is much easier for the horse to manage. I also like to avoid creating any tension or anxiety surrounding the canter transition by demanding canter. The first couple times we just work on speeding up and slowing down the trot. We keep asking for more and more trot until the horse has the idea to pop into canter on there own. As you can see with Stella this set up help creates a calm, easy canter.
Both of these girls are available to their perfect homes! As you can see, they have a great foundation and are ready to go whatever direction you want! For reference the rider in this video is about 5'7.

Another great ride on Belle🌹 ~ This is her first time going off the line and having to really listen to her rider. I'll still be on the ground for back up for a couple more rides but the more time she gets in the saddle and shows a better understanding of the riders cues the more I'll fade out.
See how this gentle starting method is all about EDUCATION not domination!

~⭐️Working Student Program Openings⭐️~

Lauren here🙋‍♀️, on a personal note I want to say that I was a genuine barn rat and gained an awful lot of my experience & knowledge as a working student all through my teen years. For that reason, extending that same opportunity to todays youngsters has always been important to me. My working student program holds a special place in my heart even though it seems to get harder and harder to find people with grit that don't mind getting dirty and putting in some work. We have had some really fantastic working students here over the years but they grow up so fast! 🥲

Anyway... we are looking for a couple of teens/college age/or whatever with reliable transportation that love horses and want to learn! Schedule is extremely flexible but expect to get out of it in proportion to what you put in. You will get to learn all about caring for and training horses at all different levels (both English & Western). Everything from starting under saddle to competition level training. You will get time in the saddle! You will also get time cleaning the barn, grooming, etc. Fair is fair 🤷‍♀️
Your responsibilities and what will be asked of you will depend on your level of experience and you can expect to do cooler things the more skilled you become.
Most important requirments:
🐴 A strong desire to learn!
🐴Love horses!
🐴Not afraid of work/dirt (including in heat/rain/etc.)
🐴Physically fit
