Create positive and Pride-filled messages, take photos of your artwork, share them on social media, and send them to us so we can celebrate and showcase the incredible support, kindness, and inclusion happening throughout New York State.

Parent Network of WNY is sponsoring a free virtual event to teach people about the Special Education process and the Individualized Education Program. Participants can receive a Parent Member Certificate to support a parent of a child with a disability in an IEP meeting. FREE EYE EXAM AND FREE GLASSES!! Saturday, June 13, 2026

The Lewiston Community Lions, Youngstown Lions, and Niagara Falls Community Lions will be hosting a FREE Pop-Up Eyeglass Clinic at Fichte, Endl & Elmer Eyecare, located at 6500 Porter Road in Niagara Falls.

- Registration begins at 9:00 AM
- Ages 5 and up welcome
- Prescription eye exams, eyeglasses, lenses, and frames provided completely FREE OF CHARGE
- No appointment needed
- No ID required

The clinic will be staffed by licensed New York State doctors of Ophthalmology and Optometry, and glasses fittings will also be provided on site.

First come, first served, and registration is limited.

Awards Co-Chairs Christine Kennedy and Terri Emmert announced Niagara Region awards at our Spring Conference on May 7. Congratulations to Jackson Rodriguez from Lewiston-Porter PTSA on receiving the Youth Humanitarian Award in Memory of Stanley Marcus for Niagara Region! Kudos to Jay Grover from Grand Island High School PTSA on being awarded the Special Service Award in Honor of Walter Potocki!

Our traveling Reflections Art Gallery was on display at our Spring Conference. We love featuring the Niagara Region Reflections entries and giving our students another chance to shine. It also gave us a chance to share the 2026-2027 theme: What My Culture Means to Me.

Our Spring Conference ended with laughter and fun as Region Membership Chair Jackie Castillo-Blaber presented awards. At first, people were hesitant to come up for a picture, but the enthusiasm grew as we cheered each other on....and Council PTA Presidents made a few appearances to collect awards for their units. ⭐

We're excited to gather our Niagara Region PTA leaders and take a road trip to Albany for Camp PTA at SLC! Save the date and plan to join us July 18-19.

Niagara Region was happy to welcome our newest unit, Grand Island Special Education PTA, to Spring Conference! The PTA was only 3 days old and we're glad their president, Michelle Giambra, could join us. We celebrated that they have 75 charter members - that's 300% of their membership goal!

Like April showers bring May flowers, your PTA makes events bloom at your school. At Spring Conference, our members played a game to get to know the PTA gardeners in Niagara Region. After dinner, we did a show of hands to easily see who worked on similar events. Then we watched a movie highlighting the ways we came together as a region for events and advocacy as we're measuring our mission for every child.
