🏈 THIS WEEKEND — 80th Annual Sugarcane Football Classic! 🏈

The Thibodaux Lions Club is proud to continue a long-standing community tradition with the Middle School Jamboree this Saturday, August 29, at Thibodaux High School!

Come out and support our local student-athletes as teams from across the area kick off the football season. The action starts at 4:00 PM and continues throughout the evening!

🏈 4:00 PM — LCO vs. Lockport
🏈 5:00 PM — Golden Meadow vs. Sixth Ward
🏈 6:00 PM — Raceland vs. Thibodaux
🏈 7:00 PM — EDW vs. Bayou Blue

This event is an important fundraiser for the Thibodaux Lions Club, helping us continue our mission of serving and giving back to our community.

A huge thank you to Thibodaux Regional Sports Medicine Center for presenting this year’s event and supporting our local athletes and community.

Come enjoy some football, support the kids, and help us make the 80th Annual Sugarcane Football Classic a great one!

This morning, our school had to briefly place students in an instructional hold due to a medical emergency involving a student. An ambulance was called, the family of the individual involved was notified, and all students were safe and secure in their classrooms. In an instructional hold, students and staff remain in their current classrooms, but normal instruction and activities continue.

We appreciate the quick response of our staff and emergency personnel, as well as the understanding and support of our school community. Thank you for your continued trust in us to keep your children safe.

The Parish President will proclaim September 30th as Childhood Cancer Awareness Day throughout Lafourche Parish. Students who purchase a shirt will be allowed to wear it to school on Friday, September 30th, in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness. Shirts will be available for purchase online only by clicking the link below.
