🎨🧵 From Imagination to Reality! 🧸💫
A few weeks ago, our art teacher, Mrs. McCabe, asked our kindergarteners to draw their very own colorful creatures! Their drawings were then handed off to our 6th graders, who took on the challenge of bringing them to life.
With fabric, thread, glue, and a lot of heart, the 6th graders designed, cut, sewed, and crafted unique stuffies inspired by each kindergartener’s artwork.
The 6th graders surprised the kindergarteners today with their special creations! 💖

Our 4th graders had an incredible time stepping back in time during their field trip to the Lockport Locks Heritage District & Discovery Center this morning.
Thanks to the wonderful Ticket to Ride program which helps schools access Erie Canal heritage sites, our students got a firsthand look at the engineering marvels right in our backyard.

Our students look forward to EarlyAct, thank you to Rotarian, Mrs. Maria Biano for leading this program at DeSales.
At their last meeting, our EarlyAct Officers were presented with their Rotary pin in recognition of their leadership and service. Congratulations Isla, AJ and Gigi!
The members also created patriotic cards celebrating our nation’s 250th birthday. These cards will be distributed to residents at a local rehabilitation center in honor of Independence Day. 🇺🇸❤️
To wrap up the meeting, members had some fun drawing the EarlyAct logo on their whiteboards. Thank you EarlyAct!

$1 Dress Down Day Tomorrow
Dress out of uniform on Friday, June 5th for a $1 or more donation to benefit The Ride for Roswell. This dress down day comes at the request of DeSales 5th grader, Harrison Robb. This is Harrison's 1st year riding and he will do so in memory of his beloved Uncle Bob.
Harrison described his Uncle saying; "He taught me how to drive a tractor, target shoot, woodworking, do farm chores and most of all how to be an all-around good human. Uncle Bob was diagnosed with cancer in October and promised me he would fight and ring the bell, unfortunately things progressed too fast and he passed away on December 23, 2025."
All proceeds from this dress down day will benefit The Ride for Roswell. Way to go Harrison!

From carefully checking on our chicks each day to celebrating the surprise "hatching" of our paper eggs, our PreK friends in Ms. Patrick’s class have been busy learning, nurturing, and exploring! 🐣
The children loved helping care for our chicks and watching them grow. When their paper eggs finally "hatched," the excitement and smiles were priceless! These hands-on experiences help build curiosity, responsibility, and a love of learning… one hatch at a time. 💛
