Last week, Mr. Knox and Mrs. Tannahill’s freshman Principles of Agriculture classes attended the FFA Greenhand Camp at West Texas A&M University. Throughout the camp, students developed leadership skills, explored the importance of service, and gained a deeper understanding of the opportunities and values that FFA offers. It was a great experience that helped prepare them for a successful start to their FFA journey!

Four members of the Lockney FFA Officer Team had an incredible time attending the 98th Annual Texas FFA Convention! We learned so much from the Texas FFA Officer Team and inspiring keynote speaker.

We can’t wait to bring everything we’ve learned back to the Lockney FFA Chapter and put it into action this year. The future is bright!

As an advisor, I couldn’t be more proud of this outstanding group of students. They represented Lockney FFA with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group to represent our chapter. 💙💛

If you are interested in obtaining your Lone Star Degree or applying for a Texas FFA State Scholarship, please note that you must register and complete objectives in your record book through AET.

Freshmen (25/26)— this is the year you need to begin working on your record books, so please do not wait until later in high school to get started!

Please contact Mr. Beltran to schedule an appointment. When you come, please bring:
• Your personal laptop
• A hotspot if possible
• A parent/guardian

I would like for both you and your parent to learn how to properly submit and manage items in AET together.

Our livestock team got a great contest in today at the TTU Invitational, continuing to sharpen their skills and get better each round!

Shoutout to Carter Duniven for leading the team as high individual—judging extra sharp today! 🔥

Malachi Mata also spent the day at the TTU Cotton CDE Clinic, continuing to build on his already strong skills! 🌱

Proud of these students and the work they’re putting in—keep getting better! 💪

Moments like this remind us how important it is to introduce agriculture to our youth early on. It teaches responsibility, hard work, and gives students a real connection to where their food and fiber come from.
