Have you ever caught yourself listening to that popular saying, "You are enough"? It sounds so comforting at first, but when we look a little deeper, it can actually leave us feeling pretty stuck.
Think about it: if you’re stranded on the side of the highway with a flat tire and no clue how to change it, telling yourself "I am enough" doesn't actually inflate the tire or get you moving.
Or, if you're facing a financial crunch, just believing in your inherent worth doesn't automatically teach you a high-demand skill someone is willing to pay for.
The truth is, we are limited, and that is okay! That’s why Hosea 4:6 reminds us that "My people perish for lack of knowledge."
True peace doesn't come from pretending we possess all the answers or abilities within ourselves. It comes from leaning into the One who does have all wisdom, and being humble enough to learn, grow, and ask for help when we hit a wall.
You don't have to carry the heavy pressure of being your own savior. You were designed to rely on something—and Someone—so much bigger!
