‼️Navarro Update‼️

Big welcome to Graciela Osuna our 5th grade lever leader sharing a classroom with Ms. Whatley this year!

Her educational journey starts where she took over a 6th grade classroom midyear at Lockhart Intermediate School. She then became a 4th grade teacher when Navarro Elementary was christened. Worked for a year while she went to grad school and planned her wedding. Moved to San Antonio and taught 4th and 5th grades at Meadow Village Elementary (Northside ISD) for 12 years. Returned to Lockhart and Navarro Elementary to teach 5th grade. Taught 1 year at Lockhart Junior High 6th grade "honors" math and 8th grade pre-algebra. Took OG Lever Leader position at Plum Creek Elementary and last year she was at Borchert Loop. We are so excited you are coming back home to Navarro!

Please welcome Natalie Gutierrez who will be joining our 5th grade team this year!

She comes to us from Klein ISD and Magnolia ISD where she has taught 4th grade language arts. She chose to work with children because she wants to help them grow into the people they want to be while making learning meaningful, engaging, and fun! She loves seeing that “light bulb” go off and it has been so inspiring in her journey as a teacher. Pictured below is her and her fiance! Welcome to the Lockhart area!

Please join in welcoming Ms. Sims who will be joining our 5th grade team!

She comes to us from Hays CISD with experience in math and science in the upper elementary grades.
After she graduated from college she worked in environmental compliance in positions with the state of Florida and an electrical company America Electric Power. She loved the jobs for the challenge and the constantly changing environment/people. After she had her daughter she realized that the travel required was too much for her and she got into teaching to stay close to her. Her experience in industry allows her to give kids real life examples on how math and science fit into the real world. Teaching has given her countless gifts in return as she has watched young children overcome challenges, find success, and grow in the confidence to believe in themselves.

We wanted to share this awesome opportunity for our families at Navarro!
