📵☀️ This summer, we're challenging our Lions to unplug and be present with Phone Free Fridays!

As part of our Childhood Unlocked initiative, Lockhart ISD is encouraging students and families to take a break from screens and make the most of summer. From June 5 through August 15, commit to finding fun, phone-free activities each Friday—whether it's exploring the outdoors, reading a book, playing a game, creating something new, or spending time with family and friends. 🌳📚🎨⚽

Each Friday, we'll be sharing some of the activities keeping our Lions busy, engaged, and making memories all summer long. We hope you'll join the challenge and inspire others to unplug, connect, and enjoy the moment!

🍧 Snowcones, Farm Animals, & 150 Million Words! 🐏

Today, we celebrated our final AR party of the year, and it was an absolute blast! Our amazing Navarro Elementary PTO treated the students to refreshing snowcones, and we even had some special furry guests visit for a fun petting zoo.

After hanging out with the farm animals, students got to cool down, relax, and celebrate all of their hard work.

📚 Major Milestone Alert: We are thrilled to announce that our campus officially hit our goal of 150 million words read this school year!

We are incredibly proud of our students' dedication to reading and can't wait to see them keep that momentum going all summer long.

🏆 WHO DOESN'T LOVE FIELD DAY?! ☀️

Huge shoutout to Coach Goerler and Coach Goode for leading an absolutely extraordinary Field Day today! From start to finish, the energy was through the roof, and our students were hyped up and ready to compete.

There is nothing better than seeing the pure joy on our students' faces and watching their hard work throughout the school year pay off in a day of fun and celebration. Thank you, coaches, for making today so memorable! 🙌🎈

Today was an absolutely amazing day at Navarro Elementary! We are so proud of our incredible teachers who applied for these innovative projects, and thrilled that our entire student body got to be on campus to witness the big surprises!
