Lockhart FFA

Lockhart ISD proudly celebrates four Lockhart FFA members who earned their Lone Star Degree, the highest degree awarded by the Texas FFA. It recognizes students who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to agricultural education, leadership and service.

To earn this esteemed award, recipients must:
• Have received the Chapter FFA Degree
• Be an active FFA member for at least two years
• Complete a minimum of four semesters of agricultural science coursework
• Maintain a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) program
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills
• Be actively involved at the chapter level and beyond

These outstanding Lions were among more than 2,600 FFA members recognized with this distinguished honor this year. We are proud of their hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence.

This week Lockhart FFA officers and members traveled all the way to Fort Worth Texas for the 98th annual Texas FFA State Convention. This week members got to see what FFA is like outside of the competitions. They met so many new people, got to hear from keynote speaker Courtena DeHoff, listen to Aaron Watson live, and so much more. This was and incredible opportunity and they can’t wait for next vear!

While attending the 98th annual Texas FFA State convention a few of our members also received their Lone Star Degree. The Lone Star FFA Degree is the highest degree bestowed by the Texas FFA. The Lone Star FFA Degree recognizes FFA members who have received the Chapter degree, been active FFA members for at least two years, completed at least four semesters of agricultural science at or above the ninth grade level, maintained a supervised agricultural experience (SAE) program, demonstrated their leadership skills, and have shown a commitment to the FFA through involvement at the chapter level and above. They were apart of more than 2,600 FFA members to receive this esteemed degree. Congratulations!!🎉
