Do you want to Homeschool but need to work full time?

Does your child need additional attention that he/she does not get in public school?

Are you frustrated with Common Core and the low level of education our children are getting?

Do you want your child exposed to a classical education model where they are introduced to multiple languages? Rhetoric? Logic? and subjects that prepare them for higher education?

I am a homeschool tutor and what I do is to either:

tutor your child hourly on the subjects that he/she needs help with. This can be done evenings or weekends for an hourly fee while your child attends public school, or

tutor your child a couple days a week while you homeschool your child, to give your child either some additional help (and you a break) or introduce them to a subject you don't teach - like Latin or Logic, or

tutor your child full time, while you work, and complete a full-time school curriculum, grade/age based, for your child.

I keep attendance records, test records and all grades as well as schedules and tracting of your child's transcripts for college.

David's final schedule. He is excited about his Critical Thinking books. He is going through a lot of thought on the religious implications of all the terrorism and ISLAM discussions. The second book really delves into this topic.

Well Summer is nearing it's end... at least summer break is. And it has been a difficult week trying to prepare schedules for Maggie and David. We decided to go with a classical model for them this year as they are both working toward college goals. We researched the universities they liked, found out all pre-requisites and set about to create their class list for the remainder of their homeschool lives - whew! Now to order books.

Summer has been wonderful so far. Garden it's doing good and the kids are enjoying some time off.

Finished most of the curriculum planning for middle school and elementary, now working on high school.

Registration starts in July so time to get busy!

So hard to believe another school year it's finished. Summer program starts in a week and we are gearing up for Wednesday Lake Lessons Ast Lake Tobesofkee. Roman Empire this summer.

Nina's Cottage Homeschool Tutoring is NOW registering for our limited summer program.

We will be offering tutoring three days per week with the following program:

~~TUES we will be studying our Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and some remedial Arithmetic

~~WED is our Lake Lesson days, weather permitting, where we will be reading, having our book club, and having some History studies. This summer we are studying the Roman Empire.

~~THURS we will be having composition and Grammar, we will be doing a lot of writing for this subject and working on multiple types of writing (based on child's age/achievement level).

This program is open to children ages 11 - 18 and is on a first come basis. We anticipate having room for 8 students for this program.

You must register and pay the registration fee to hold your spot.

We will also be holding informational meetings in our classroom several times this summer to discuss Homeschool options for parents wanting to homeschool for the 2016/2017 school term.

Nina's Cottage provides full time and part time tutoring as well as curriculum only and consulting services for Homeschooling parents.
