Spring is almost here, which means it’s time for the Mathematics department to start seeking out its best mathematics students of this academic year. That’s right, it’s Pythagorean Prize season!
The Pythagorean Prize is an award from the Schoolcraft College Mathematics department that celebrates its best mathematics students at the College during the academic year. In particular, those who shine in our upper-level math courses (MATH 230+). The top three winners of the Prize will receive a monetary award, as well special recognitions at this year’s award event on April 14th, 2025, from 2:30 to 4 pm in Waterman A-C! Come join us as we celebrate this year’s winners, as well as the 30th anniversary of the Pythagorean Prize!
Do you have what it takes to become the next Pythagorean Prize winner? If so, send your completed application and essay to Professor Larry Choraszewski at [email protected]. You can also submit a hard copy of the items in the drop box near Room BTC 500. All application materials are due by Tuesday, 3/11/25.
Best of luck in this year’s competition!
