🏈 Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog!

Legendary Livonia football coach Steve Girolmo, better known as Coach G, stopped by practice on Saturday to share a motivational message with our Bulldogs.

Coach G spent more than 25 years coaching at Livonia, leading the Bulldogs to three Sectional Championships and helping shape hundreds of young men along the way. His impact has always extended well beyond wins and losses, with a focus on developing the person first and the player second.

A big thank you to Coach G for taking the time to come back and talk with our players. It’s clear that Livonia and Livonia Football still hold a special place in Coach G’s heart, just as Coach G holds a special place in ours.

After a one-year hiatus while the gyms underwent renovations, the Livonia Boys Basketball Camp returned this summer with 28 boys entering grades 2-6 eager to get back on the court!

Over the course of four days, campers from throughout the Livonia community had fun working on their basketball skills and competing in a variety of games and competitions. Each day featured a combination of skills stations, games, and competitive play designed to keep the campers moving, learning, and challenging themselves.

Livonia coaches Jonah Martin and Josh Davis led the camp with the help of Amanda Martin and a great group of current middle/high school players. Luke H., Aaron K., Caleb M., Owen M., Rhys M., Nolan O., Carter R., Jack S., and Trevor W. all gave their time throughout the week, running stations, encouraging players, refereeing games, and occasionally jumping in themselves to run with the campers.

The camp also included daily Gatorade awards while end-of-camp certificate awards gave camp staff one more opportunity to celebrate the campers and their accomplishments throughout the week.

A big “thank you” goes to all 28 campers and their families and caregivers for making the commitment to attend. Getting young athletes to camp each day takes time and effort, and we truly appreciate everyone who made it possible. The campers brought awesome attitudes and a willingness to learn each day, making the week especially rewarding for all involved. The future of Livonia basketball is bright!

We would also like to thank Lake Life Accessories for creating the camp water bottles and shirts. The campers looked the part and had some great keepsakes to take home!

What an outstanding two weeks at the 2026 Grades 6-12 Livonia Lady Bulldogs Basketball Camp! These campers came ready to work every day. Livonia Central School District is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and student-centered Fall Varsity Cheerleading Coach. The ideal candidate will foster a positive team culture while teaching the fundamental skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit that help student-athletes succeed.

Candidates must hold a valid New York State Coaching Certificate or Teaching Certification, or be working toward certification.
