The Clarenceville School District of Wayne and Oakland Counties is located at the southern edge of Oakland County and includes sections of Livonia, Farmington Hills, Redford, and Southfield. It is comprised of approximately 1800 students in one high school, one middle school, and two elementary schools. Our students are serviced by certified teaching, counseling, special services, and administrati

ve staff in full and part-time positions. Other support staff, including secretarial, food service, maintenance, and part-time aides ensure our buildings are running smoothly and eliminating any distractions to learning. All four of our buildings have achieved NCA/AdvancED Accreditation individually throughout the years and the district recently received NCA/AdvancED District Accreditation. The Mission of the Clarenceville School District is to create a learning culture where all means all. The Vision of the Clarenceville School District is to become a learning culture where all students will be empowered to face the challenges of the 21st century. The Clarenceville School District has a District Strategic Plan that focuses on the following goal areas:

A Tornado Warning has been issued in our area until 4:30. Please know that any MS or HS student that is still on our school campus have sheltered in place.

The elementaries were in the process of dismissal when the warning was issued. GV students were loaded on the bus and are being routed home. Parent pick-up and walkers' are inside sheltering in place. Parents you are more than welcomed to come inside and join your child as they will now all be dismissed through the front once the warning has been lifted. Botsford's bus has NOW left the building. Car riders and walkers are sheltering in place in the BF library. Again, if you wish to join your child in the library, you have that right.

In the end, your children are safe and we take situations like this very seriously. Please be patient and work with us as we work together to get everyone home safely.

Grandview Families…..a large tree has falling across the driveway behind the High School and will affect typical arrival procedures. Please come in off of Middlebelt by the high school, like normal, but after you drop off your children at the back doors, you CAN NOT exit back out to Middlebelt. So please follow the adults that are out there to direct you. Do not come in off of Louise thinking it will help the situation. That actually will slow the detour down even more. Please be patient and drive slowly through the lots.

And just like that summer is behind us and another school year is facing us. Remember that tomorrow is a 1/2-day and set those alarm clocks!!! Get a good night sleep so you are ready for all that comes with adjusting to a new schedule and don’t forget tomorrow is Senior Sunrise. Oh the positive energy at open house is the best!!!! Smiles galore and the kids genuine excitement to be back and to meet their new teacher(s) and go back to see their old teachers was the sweetest!!! Backpacks were the hit!! Thank you to Livonia Police Department for their generous donation!! The buildings look great and the new playgrounds were so exciting!!!! Now bring on Monday!!!!

Another day of professional learning with our amazing Clarenceville staff. Three full days of learning to get our teachers ready to kick off the year with our awesome students!

Families, please remember that tomorrow is our Open House from 1-3:00 for all buildings followed by the new family orientation at the high school cafeteria. Parents and guardians remember to complete your Back to School paperwork so that you can receive your child’s schedule, locker or teacher assignment.
