Another successful walk-through at Frost! It was wonderful to meet our new 7th graders and welcome back this year’s 8th graders to the nest. A big thank you to our NJHS leaders for tours and locker support!

Professional development for our amazing staff today. We started with The “Portrait of a Graduate Challenge!” Our staff collaborated, demonstrated curiosity and confidence, communicated, and used critical thinking skills to start off PD.

NJHS students stopped by today to hang bulletin boards and set up teacher classrooms! At this rate they’re going to have their service hours done by October!

Thank you, NJHS! Our 8th grade leaders working hard to provide service to the school. I also heard they helped some teachers as well - I have no photo evidence, but it did happen. 🤣

Good afternoon LPS! We are putting the finishing touches on the August issue of the Dialog district newsletter as we speak, but we thought this quick summary of first day and first weeks would be handy.
Watch for all of your Back to School updates to arrive via the Dialog approximately the week of August 10 (and posted on our website on Monday, July 20).

Here is the rationale behind our bag policy, rest assured the Frost staff will be assisting students to adjust to this change. We are very excited for another amazing school year.

We have a new cell phone policy at Frost. In alignment with the new Michigan state law, Frost Middle School will be implementing an updated policy for the 2026/2027 school year. This policy prohibits students from using their cell phones during instructional hours. This expectation applies to all classrooms, hallways, the cafeteria, and any other instruction setting throughout the school day.

Our goal in implementing this policy is to create a focused and distraction-free learning environment where all student can fully engage in their education. Research continues to show that limiting cell phone use during instructional time supports improved academic outcomes, increased attention, and stronger peer interactions.

And so it begins...Welcome to the 2026/2027 School Year! An email was just sent to everyone who is signed up for school eblasts with a few policies changes for this year. I will also be sending additional information over the next couple of weeks. As always, if you have questions about all things Frost, please do not hesitate to give us a call.

Disregard the supply list that states a string backpack can be used, they will not be allowed this year.
