Join us this Saturday at the Bennett Civic Center Library for The Conversation: Mental Health and Wellness. A great opportunity to learn, connect, and discover local resources!

The City of Livonia’s Human Relations Commission invites community members to join us for The Conversation: Mental Health and Wellness Saturday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Civic Center Library. This free interactive event offers an opportunity to hear from mental health professionals through panel discussions, presentations, vendor booths, and Q&A sessions. Topics range from youth mental health and family wellness to trauma, aging, and more. Local organizations dedicated to supporting mental well‑being will be onsite to share resources and connect with residents. For more information, please contact [email protected].

We'll have 15 partner tables set up with resources, five presenters and a panel. Find the schedule below:

Each collection offers a selection of Large Print fiction and non-fiction books for seniors. No library card needed. Just borrow a book and return it to any location with a Pocket Collection, or to the Livonia Public Library, and we'll get it back on the shelf!

We’re so grateful to Seedlings Braille Books for Children for providing the Braille overlays that make our StoryWalk® more accessible, helping even more families enjoy stories together. As we look back on another amazing Summer Reading Program, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Friends of the Livonia Public Library! Because of their generous support, we were able to host a summer full of exciting and enriching programs and rewards for all ages. Thank you for making a difference in our community and fostering a love for books and learning. We look forward to many more years working together!
