Congratulations to Madonna alum Mohamad Farhat on being named Dearborn's Officer of the Year! Originally from Lebanon, Farhat's family moved to the United States at age 15. Fr. Ron DesRosiers, former faculty at Madonna University, passed away at age 89 on Aug. 9, 2026 in Framingham, Mass. He passionately taught philosophy and religious studies for 23 years, from 1990-2013. His animated lectures, sometimes presented from atop a desk, were often punctuated with his expressive "Ooh, la la!" Fr. Ron's energy, cheer, and zeal for teaching were apparent to everyone he met. We remember him with love and gratitude, and pray for the repose of his soul.
