Phi Mu women at UWA pride themselves on strong morals, high education, campus involvement, and an irreplaceable bond of friendship and sisterhood.

Phi Mu Fraternity is a vibrant values-based women's organization. Our purpose is found in the principles of love, honor, and truth. We vigorously pursue the interests and purpose of women on collegiate campuses and in our communities. We are lively directing our energies toward ideas bigger than ourselves. We build one another up toward achieving our personal best. The promise of our mutual efforts is a lifetime of sisterhood. We are individuals, leaders, and friends. We give and serve. We are Phi Mu!

The best Homecoming yet!

We kicked off the week with a sweet sisterhood, followed by Serendipity where we placed 2nd! We enjoyed the bonfire and carnival and spotting our cheerleader sisters at the Homecoming Cafe event! Saturday we tailgated alongside our fellow Greek organizations, and we’re so proud to have taken home 1st place for our parade float!

We’re also incredibly proud of our sisters who made this Homecoming extra special. Our Vice President, Kinlee, served as the editor and lead designer of the annual Zone Magazine, a Homecoming tradition, while two of our other sisters contributed articles. Our President, Gracie, also got to represent us at Saturday’s volleyball game.

So grateful for all the memories, traditions, and accomplishments, that made this Homecoming one to remember!

Bits and pieces of September!!!

We’ve been busy making memories this month! Our Phis had Formal Pledging, we held two café events, the Phi Mu Foundation Bake Sale and Pie a Phi, to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network, and cheered on our sisters at Football, Volleyball, and Soccer games. We also had a blast at the rodeo and got to welcome our new PC with our first social together “Welcome to Mu York”!

“When I came to college, I knew I wanted to be involved somehow at the University of West Alabama. I was sooo nervous to go through recruitment but I knew I wanted to put myself out there and do something different. There was something so special about Phi Mu that I was hoping I could be a part of. Phi Mu has allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, try new things and has pushed me to be the very best version of myself. This chapter has taught me things that will now help me for the future and life after graduation. Throughout my three years in this chapter, I have learned so much about giving back to the community, what it means to be a part of and hold a role in a sorority, and I’ve met my lifelong best friends! I’m truly so thankful for all of these girls and I don’t know what I would’ve done if I didn’t sign up for recruitment!”

“I chose Phi Mu because when I first came to UWA I wanted to meet new people and be very involved. I definitely did not see being in a sorority on my bingo card but I am so grateful to have the opportunity to be in Phi Mu, I have gained the sweetest sisters and I do not know what I would’ve done if I did not that have them in my corner freshman year. I remember feeling so welcomed by everyone when first meeting them and it just made me feel so good that these girls are some of the sweetest people I have ever met. This chapter has taught me so many things about my self that I never even knew, in a good way, they have brought me out of my comfort zone and I just love how we can always be our true selves around one another. I don’t know what I would do without these sweet girls and I can’t wait to watch these girls succeed in life because they are genuinely my sisters and some of the best people I’ve ever met in my life!”

We’ve had such a great time back on campus! From move in day, FDOC, Meet the Greeks, open house, and our first cafe event and social of the year we’ve enjoyed meeting everyone and spending time with each other🩷🩷
