RSM Livingston RSM-Livingston is a branch of the Russian School of Mathematics, an award winning, after-school math program for K-12 students.

Since 1997, RSM has helped children develop math fluency, intellect, and character, empowering them for life. RSM's award winning K-12 after-school math program has empowered students to achieve excellence for over twenty-five years. Our students spent the summer sharpening their math skills, building confidence, and tackling new challenges - and the growth we've seen has been amazing.

Math and play go hand in hand in our summer program. ☀️

Between classes, our students take real breaks — running, laughing, just being kids. A few minutes to recharge, then right back to focus.

RSM Founder Inessa Rifkin recently wrote that free play "helps children develop new competencies that lead to enhanced confidence and the resiliency they will need to face future challenges." That's why in our summer program, students gain more than strong math skills — they build real friendships, learn to work as a team, and connect with peers who share their journey. It's what makes learning at RSM special: a community where kids grow together.

Every game has problems to solve⚽📐

That perfect free kick everyone's talking about this summer? It's actually a math problem in disguise. The angle of the kick, the speed of the ball, gravity pulling it back down, they all combine into one elegant equation (yes, the same kind of trajectory math shown above!).

And with the World Cup Final taking place right here in New Jersey this summer, it felt like the perfect moment to point it out. At RSM, we love showing students that math isn't just something you do at a desk. It's in every pass, every shot, and every strategy on the field.
