Magnify Learning provides Project Based Learning professional development workshops nationwide, with both in-person and virtual formats available. Our PBL workshops teach and model a PBL framework and enable

educators and youth workers to create authentic learning experiences through their design of PBL Units. CUSTOMIZATION
• We build on the good work you’re already doing in your school/district, and craft a workshop agenda that builds PBL around that existing work.
• We design a professional development session and agenda around the specific needs and questions of you and your staff. AUTHENTICITY

• We believe in developing authentic community-based PBL Units based on real world problems, NOT scenarios.
• We use PBL Certified Facilitators who have experience with PBL in their own classrooms and schools.
• We’re transparent about who we are, what we believe, and how much it costs to work with us. CULTURE

• We believe in a building a long-term lasting partnership with each of the schools/districts we work with.
• We believe in modeling and equipping you and your staff with tools and structures that help build and reinforce a healthy PBL culture. PBL workshop participants experience a Project Based Learning environment while learning the nuts and bolts of PBL. Each participant will:

• Leave the three-day workshop with a fully vetted, standards-based PBL Unit ready to implement with confidence.
• Learn the processes and structures to create future PBL Units.
• Receive training, feedback and insight from PBL Certified trainers who have experience teaching Project Based Learning in their own classrooms. Components of Project Based Learning:

PBL Project Spotlight: Composting for a Greener School ♻️

What if your students could turn food scraps into a solution for a healthier school and community?

Driving Question:
How do we as environmental stewards help reduce food waste through composting so that our community becomes more sustainable?

Through this Project-Based Learning experience, students can:
🌿 Investigate what happens to food waste after it’s thrown away.
♻️ Learn the science behind composting and decomposition.
📊 Conduct a school waste audit to identify opportunities for reducing landfill waste.
🥕 Design and implement a school composting system.
🤝 Collaborate with local gardeners, farmers, or environmental organizations.
🌼 Use the finished compost to enrich a school garden or community green space.
📣 Educate classmates and families about the benefits of composting through campaigns, presentations, or community events.

Great PBL resources matter.

But resources alone won’t create great Project Based Learning.

A planning template can help. A rubric can help. An AI tool can help.

But none of those things can replace teacher skill, the right mindset, and a strong system for supporting PBL over time.

That’s where sustainable change really happens.

School leaders have to ask bigger questions:
Are teachers being trained and coached?
Do we share a clear vision for student-centered learning?
Do we have systems in place that keep PBL moving when staff changes, priorities shift, or the excitement of launch wears off?

Here’s one of the biggest gut-check questions:
Would your PBL work continue if the most passionate person in the building stepped away?

If not, it may be time to strengthen the system.
