⚫️🔴 Happy National Coaches Day! 🔴⚫️

Celebrating the People Behind Our Players ⚽️❤️

Today we recognize the incredible group of coaches who give their time, energy and passion to our players and the SFL community.

Coaching is about so much more than planning sessions, picking teams or standing on the sideline on game day. It’s about teaching, encouraging, challenging and inspiring young players while creating an environment where they can develop both on and off the field.

From our youngest Future Stars taking their first steps in the game, through to our oldest players preparing for their next chapter, our coaches play an important role throughout every stage of the SFL pathway.

We’re incredibly grateful for the commitment of our entire coaching staff, for the late nights, busy weekends, countless conversations and, most importantly, the care they show for the players they work with every week.

To all of our SFL coaches: thank you for everything you do. 👏❤️🖤

⚫️🔴 Never Forget 🔴⚫️

September 11, 2001 🇺🇸

Today, everyone at Soccer For Life pauses to remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless acts of courage and sacrifice shown on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor the victims, first responders, emergency personnel, and all those whose lives were impacted by the events of that day.

We remember the bravery.
We remember the unity.
We remember those who never came home.

Never Forget. 🇺🇸❤️

⚫️🔴 Always Learning. Always Growing. 🔴⚫️

SFL Staff Development 🧠⚽️📈

Player development is at the heart of everything we do at SFL, but to continue developing our players, we have to make sure our coaches are developing too.

Over the summer, SFL Technical Director Tom Bray led a staff development session focused on the SFL Game Model, ensuring our coaches were aligned, prepared and ready to deliver as we headed into the 2026/27 season.

The session gave our staff the opportunity to share ideas, discuss session content and delivery, and collaborate on how we bring the SFL Game Model to life on the field across different teams and age groups.

And it wasn’t all sitting around talking tactics! Our coaches also got back on the field themselves, participating in sessions delivered by Coach Tom, learning, competing and having plenty of fun along the way! 😂⚽️

We ask our players to be curious, embrace new ideas and constantly look for ways to improve. We expect exactly the same from our coaches.

The wait is over, SFL is officially back on the field! ❤️🖤

Our teams have returned to training, the energy is back, and we’re ready for another season of hard work, competition, development and unforgettable moments across the club.

New teams. New challenges. New goals. Same commitment to creating a player-first environment where our players are encouraged to compete, learn, be creative and keep pushing themselves every single day.

The work starts now, and we can’t wait to see what the 2026/27 season has in store for our players, coaches and families.

We’re back. We’re ready. Let’s go, SFL! 🔥
