Our tutors see it every week: a student who understands the material but can’t get started, loses track of assignments, or shuts down when the workload piles up.

That’s not a content problem. It’s an executive functioning problem, and it takes a different kind of support.

That’s why we’re partnering with Livingston Counseling Associates on The Executive Advantage, a 6-week small group where middle and high schoolers practice organization, time management, task initiation, emotional regulation, and social skills in a hands-on setting.

Wednesdays, October 21 to December 2 (no session November 25)
Grades 6 to 8: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Grades 9 to 12: 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.

Our Winter SAT and ACT Boot Camps run on a real digital testing interface, so students take full-length exams under true test-day timing, then get a clear, domain-by-domain score report that shows exactly where their points are going.

Knowing what to do is one thing. Knowing how to do it is another.

The Executive Advantage is a new small-group program that helps middle and high school students turn strategy into habit: organization, time management, task initiation, emotional regulation, social skills, and self-awareness.
These skills are not built from a worksheet. They are built through practice, in a small and supportive setting, alongside peers working through the same real-life situations.

Grades 6-8: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

FREE Parent Workshop: Executive Functioning 101
We’re excited to announce a special collaboration... Teacher Tutors is partnering with Livingston Counseling Associates to offer Executive Functioning 101: Why Smart Kids Struggle to Get Things Done, a FREE workshop for parents.

Does your child know what they need to do but still struggle to get started, stay organized, manage their time, or follow through?

Join Debra Kirchen, M.A. Ed., Founder & Education Director of Teacher Tutors, and David M. Zimmer, LPC, Founder & Clinical Director of Livingston Counseling Associates, for an informative and practical conversation about executive functioning.

We’ll explore why executive functioning challenges happen, how they can affect children at home and at school, and practical strategies parents can use to reduce daily battles, build stronger habits, and foster greater independence.

Parents will leave with a better understanding of what may be getting in the way and concrete strategies they can begin using right away.
