Pre-Calculus Ed. Tip: know when a logarithm can split.

A log turns multiplication into addition, so log(4 · 6) = log 4 + log 6. But it does not work across addition: log(4 + 6) is not log 4 + log 6. Split only what is multiplied, never what is added.

It is a small rule that trips up a lot of students right before calculus. If your student could use a hand with pre-calc, our Master Educators and Expert Tutors work one on one, in your home or online, and every session includes a summary of what was covered.

Not all test prep is the same. At Teacher Tutors, every PSAT, SAT, and ACT boot camp begins with a diagnostic, so instruction is built around what your student actually needs instead of a generic script. And because groups are capped at six students, the attention stays close to one-on-one.

This fall: PSAT (Tuesdays and Thursdays, targeting the October PSAT/NMSQT), SAT (Tuesdays and Thursdays, targeting the October 3 exam), and ACT (Mondays and Wednesdays, targeting the October 24 exam). All camps run three weeks, 6 to 8 PM, in person in Livingston, at $780 per camp.
