NEW LEADERSHIP

Former Livingston High School graduate Brian Alvarez (Class of 2011) has been named the new Head Varsity Football Coach at Livingston High School.

Alvarez takes over the program following the recent resignation of Coach Steven Wine. He is no stranger to Livingston football, having been part of the program for the past nine years as a lower-level coach and, most recently, as the varsity offensive coordinator from 2019–2025.

Alvarez returns to LHS as a former four-year, three-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, and baseball.

Former LHS Head Football Coach Chris Lacey on Alvarez's return: “Brian was not only one of the best football players I ever coached, he was also one of the best competitors and leaders. He will be a great fit for Livingston football. Brian bleeds purple and gold!”

After graduating from LHS, Alvarez attended Modesto Junior College, where he played football and set the school's all-time career receiving record. He continued his playing career at the NCAA level after transferring to the University of Wisconsin–Stout.

Alvarez has also remained connected to education and Livingston High School. He previously worked at LHS as a Special Education Paraprofessional before becoming a Special Education teacher at Buhach Colony High School. He will continue teaching at BCHS while serving as Livingston's Head Football Coach.

Alvarez is excited to return to Livingston: “I'm excited to be back on campus and get to work. Coach Alex Gonzalez and Coach Wine have both been incredibly important mentors throughout my journey, and I'm grateful for the time I've had to learn from both of them. I look forward to building on that foundation and continuing to move the program forward. Our coaching staff will work tirelessly to prepare our kids to compete at a high level while also helping develop them into young men who can become leaders at our school and in our community.”

SCHEDULE UPDATE

Livingston's home scrimmage against El Capitan on Friday, August 21 has been moved to El Capitan. The Pack will open the 2026 season at home against McNair High School on Friday, August 28.

Always an emotional day at Livingston High as we say goodbye to our seniors during the Walkout Rally.

A day filled with excitement, memories, laughter, and a few tears as classes rotated to their new home in 2026-27.

Celebrating the Class of 2026 one final time. “How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

Congratulations to Livingston High School seniors Alejandro Avila, Aleyda Revuelta, and Noemi Revuelta on signing to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.

Alejandro Avila signed with Fresno Pacific University after one of the most accomplished soccer careers in Livingston history. A 4-year varsity starter and Section Champion, Alejandro finishes as the program’s all-time leading scorer in the MaxPreps era with 71 career goals while also earning First Team All-League honors in football, soccer, and track & field this year.

Aleyda and Noemi Revuelta signed with Menlo College after helping lead Livingston girls wrestling to back-to-back Sac-Joaquin Section team championships and five straight league titles. Both were standout varsity wrestlers, team captains, and among the top competitors in California throughout their careers. Aleyda finishes as the program’s all-time wins leader with 126 victories, while Noemi ranks second all-time with 99 wins.

We are proud of all three student-athletes and excited to see what’s next for them at the collegiate level.
