The joy. The pride. The confidence.
There’s something special about seeing martial arts through a child’s eyes. Every stripe earned, every challenge overcome, and every small victory feels like the biggest accomplishment in the world.
Moments like these are what it’s all about. 🥋💙
In 2024, Madison said, “I want to be a Black Belt.”
This weekend, she stood in front of everyone and earned it.
If you were in the room during her test, you know. You saw the moments when she was exhausted. You saw the challenges she had to overcome. You saw how hard she had to fight for every step forward.
And that’s what made it so special.
From “I want to be a Black Belt” to “I am a Black Belt.”
What a moment. 🖤🥋
After a grueling 5-hour exam, our black belt candidates still had one final challenge ahead of them: 750 jumping jacks.
What happened next was something special.
With no obligation and nothing to gain, students, families, and instructors jumped in for the final 150. Not because they had to, but because they wanted to stand beside these three and help carry them across the finish line.
Moments like this remind us that a black belt journey is never walked alone… and that there truly is no place like Excel Martial Arts. 🖤🥋

When this many people show up to run beside you, cheer you on, and support your journey, you know you’re part of something special. The black belt may belong to the individual, but getting there takes a community.
We couldn’t be prouder of these three and the incredible family behind them. 🖤🥋

When Kiara walked in excited to show us her Role Model Award, our hearts melted.
Not because she won it again, but because anyone who knows Kiara isn’t surprised.
She is the same kind, respectful, hardworking kid every single day. She lifts others up, gives her best effort, and quietly leads by example wherever she goes.
We are so proud of you, Kiara. Thank you for representing everything Excel is all about. 💙🥋

Some students are known for their kicks. Some are known for their flexibility.
Darsh “Master Flex” is known for something even more important… his heart. ❤️🥋
From his first days training in India to becoming one of the most beloved students at Excel, Darsh has always brought a smile to the mat. He’s the kid who cheers for everyone, makes friends with everyone, and treats every teammate like they’re on his team.
The flexibility may have earned him the nickname, but his kindness is what people remember most.
Now, after years of hard work and dedication, Darsh “Master Flex” is just 7 days away from black belt.
We couldn’t be prouder of the martial artist and young man he’s become.
