I hope everyone has had a great and productive school year! It’s been so great meeting up with so many of you this past year! I’ve been approached to set up a get together for our great group. It would be terrific if we could set up a day to meet and catch up. A good suggestion is to meet up at the Shannon Rose in Clifton for lunch on a day in the last week of June. That would be Monday through Friday June 25 - 29. Why doesn’t everyone list the day or days that will work for each of us? That way we’ll be able to figure out a day that will work for the most of us.

President Naomi Johnson-Lafleur asks all Summer Fellows to PLEASE join the TEA for a press conference Thursday August 31st
at 1:00 pm at the Trenton Board of Education located at 108 North Clinton Avenue Trenton, New Jersey 08609. This press conference is a follow-up from the Trenton Board of Education Meeting. The topics being discussed are: silencing the public, union busting, and half days.

It was great to have Assemblywoman Sheila Oliver (running for Lt. Governor) and Assemblyman Thomas Giblin to speak on the future of to the members.

It was a such a successful event this afternoon. Our union brothers and sisters came together to share and to start those 1:1 conversations about getting more involved in the union. We even had the ice cream 🍦 truck come out!
