Mrs. Jennifer’s first grade students worked together to create a mural showcasing what they have been learning about and how teamwork can make our community a better place. By sharing ideas, helping one another, and working toward a common goal, students experienced firsthand how working together can improve our community.

🚗 CAR RIDER REMINDERS — PLEASE READ! 🚗

We have a few important car rider updates to help keep dismissal safe and running smoothly.

⏰ K–8 Car Rider Line
Kindergarten–8th grade car rider parents may not line up before 2:45 PM. Arriving earlier interferes with our PreK car rider pickup line.

➡️ If you arrive before 2:45 PM, please wait at the back of the gravel parking lot area until 2:45 PM.

🏷️ 2026–2027 Car Rider Tags
We have issued new car rider tags for the 2026–2027 school year.

Beginning Monday, if you do not have a car rider tag visibly hanging during pickup, you will be asked to pull over and go into the office to pick up your child.

This procedure is in place for the safety of all of our students. Thank you for helping us make dismissal as safe and efficient as possible!

📞 Still need a car rider tag? Please contact the school office.

❤️ Thank you for your cooperation!

Second grade students had a great time reading Freckle Juice by Judy Blume! Throughout the book, students focused on story elements and discussed the important lesson behind Andrew’s freckle-filled adventure.

After finishing the story, students had the option to try the real Freckle Juice recipe from the book. The taste was definitely terrible, so not much was consumed!

However, something funny happened afterward… most of the students ended up with freckles just like Andrew!

What a fun and memorable way to bring a favorite story to life!

🔌☀️ Science is getting real in 4th grade! ☀️🔌

Today, students became engineers and built simple electrical systems using a solar panel, wires, and a small motor with a fan. 🌞⚡️💨

We’re learning about systems as we kick off our first Science unit, and our big challenge is coming soon—figuring out why Ergstown is having blackouts and how to prevent them! 🏙️💡

🍎 New Manager Monday Spotlight 🍎

This week we're excited to introduce Nancy Morris!

Nancy has been a dedicated member of the Livingston Parish Child Nutrition team for 13 years, and this school year she's stepping into her new role as a manager at Frost. She looks forward to learning, growing, and sharing her knowledge with her team to help make this a successful year.

When she's not at work, Nancy enjoys crafting, spending time with her family, relaxing on her porch, and caring for her five dogs. She's been happily married for 31 years and is the proud mom of two daughters, Savannah and Pamela, and a wonderful son-in-law, Collin.

Nancy lives by the saying, "Put God first and everything will fall into place."

Please join us in congratulating Nancy on her new role and wishing her a fantastic school year! 💙💛
