🌟 Growing Together to Better Serve Our Students! 🌟

Our Child Nutrition team recently took time away from the kitchens for some meaningful Professional Development and Team Building! 👩‍🍳🥦❤️

Our staff learned valuable strategies focused on self-care, communication, teamwork, and building stronger relationships within our kitchen teams. We believe that when we take care of our people and invest in our teams, they return to our schools refreshed, energized, and ready to serve our students with care and a smile!

🌟 EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: Celebrating Diana Spangler 🌟

Today, we are proud to recognize one of our amazing School Cooks who works at Campus Park Elementary! 👩‍🍳💙

Over the past couple of years, she has grown tremendously in her knowledge, confidence, and skills. Her dedication to learning and expanding her understanding of our Child Nutrition Program has truly been inspiring to watch.

She consistently does an excellent job following program requirements and procedures, takes pride in her work, and has become an invaluable support to our Head Cook. Her willingness to learn, help, and step up when needed has helped her become one of our STAR employees! ⭐

We are so proud of the growth she has shown and the positive impact she makes on our team every day. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to serving our students, Diana! ❤️

🍑 AUGUST HARVEST OF THE MONTH: NECTARINES! 🍑

Sweet, juicy, and oh-so-delicious—nectarines are our August Harvest of the Month! ☀️

Nectarines are a summer favorite and a great way to add a naturally sweet, refreshing fruit to your day. They’re packed with vitamin C, vitamin A, fiber, and antioxidants to help keep growing bodies healthy and strong. 💪🌱

🍑 Did you know? Nectarines are actually a type of peach—but they have smooth, fuzz-free skin!

This August, give nectarines a try and taste the goodness of fresh, seasonal produce! 🌞🍑

We are pleased to inform you that The Livingston Union School District is participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for 2026-2027 School Year. This means all students are able to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch each day at no charge.

Tomorrow is Pizza Day and the final day of our Summer Meals Program!

We want to thank all of the families who joined us this summer. It has been our pleasure to provide nutritious meals to the children in our community.

😎 Friendly Reminder 😎

Don't forget to get your free breakfast and lunch.

We would also like to inform you that due to an unexpected equipment failure involving one of our freezer units, some planned menu items may need to be temporarily adjusted while repairs are being completed at certain school sites.

Our Child Nutrition Department is working diligently to ensure that all meals continue to meet USDA and California Department of Education nutrition requirements. Students will continue to receive healthy, reimbursable meals each day; however, there may be substitutions or changes to the published menu based on product availability.

If you have any questions, please contact the Child Nutrition Department.
