The LMS Back-to-School Dance will be Friday, August 21, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at LMS. Admission is free. Concessions will be sold. School dress code applies. This dance is for LMS students only.

Congratulations to Remi Robbins and Decklan Norman, who were winners in the county-wide Litter Awareness Essay Contest that was held in May! Today, Remi received $600, and Decklan received $400! Their teachers also received a gift to use in their classrooms.

Girls basketball fall tryouts, grades 4-8, will be held on Thursday, August 13, at 3 PM. You must have a current physical to try out.

Here are a few reminders for the first day of school:

Student drop-offs are in the middle parking lot.

Faculty and staff will be available to show new students where to go.

Student pick-ups are in the middle parking lot for 5th and 6th graders and in the lower parking lot for 7th and 8th graders (and their 5th and 6th grade siblings).

The upper parking lot is reserved for bus traffic.

Classes at LMS begin at 7:40 a.m. We look forward to seeing you in the morning!
