There's something special about playing under the lights. It was the girls varsity soccer team's turn on Thursday night. The pep band helped keep the energy up. It was great seeing so many come out to support our Wolves. The final under the lights game will be football at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10.

Rockland’s under-the-lights events started Wednesday night on the grid iron where the red team took on the yellow team in the annual powderpuff game. The mixed-grade teams were coached by members of the varsity football team. The red team started strong, ending the first half with a hefty lead, although the yellow team attempted to mount a comeback. However, it wasn’t enough to overcome the power of the red team, which emerged victorious. It was a fun way to kick off the night games of Homecoming Week.

Rockland High School is looking for presenters for Career Day this fall.
The event will take place from 8:20 to 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, in the new gym at the Middle/High School at 19 School St. in Livingston Manor. The Snow date is Dec. 1.
The theme is "Create a Future That is Out of This World."
