🎂 For 16 years this beautiful boy has been a part of our lives! He has been the best ranch hand and snake wrangler a family could ask for! For an old man he is in the best health! Slower than he use to be but still our bestest boy. Happy Birthday to our Wonderful Cowboy! May the rest of his years be just as full!

Power has been out since last night but we refused to let it affect us having biscuits and gravy! Made biscuits in our cast iron pan in our smoker and may never make them any other way! Powers still out but I’m highly impressed by how our brunch turned out.

We started building a *From Grain to Loaf* lesson plan so of course I have to bring Lazarus out of cold storage to test some theories. We cannot wait to show the kids the process from the little grain to a full loaf. What is wild yeast? Why do ratios matter? The eating normally being the best part! 🍞 ❤️
