Dear Families,
Summer is approaching with alarming speed. Have you heard of Summer Learning Loss? Research has shown that every summer most students lose approximately two months of academic learning from the previous school year. Consequently, classroom teachers must scramble to bring their classes back up to speed in the first several weeks of the following school year. Loss is even more severe for math students.
You can help prevent Summer Learning Loss for your child in many ways. Of course, I hope you will consider sending your child to tutoring, where we can review subject already learned, so they are not forgotten, and work on special topics such as Essay Writing or Study Skills.
