ANNOUNCING OUR NEW PRINCIPAL!
June 3, 2026
Dear St. Michael Parish Community,
With gratitude to God, I am pleased to share that Julie Schweickert Knight, St. Michael School Class of 1993, has been selected to serve as the next principal of St. Michael School beginning with the 2026β2027 academic year.
It is a great blessing to see one of our own returns to lead the school where she received her foundation. Mrs. Knight brings 14 years of experience in Kβ8 education in Livermore schools, including eight years as a principal. She received her undergraduate degree in Civic and Liberal Studies from St. Maryβs College in Moraga. Mrs. Knight also brings a deep love for Catholic education and a personal connection to St. Michael, where her own faith, values, and commitment to service were formed.
St. Michael School is an important ministry of our parish, and the selection of our next principal was made with prayerful discernment and care. I am grateful to the Search Committee, which included representatives from the clergy, faculty, School Advisory Board, and parent community, as well as to the parents, faculty, and staff who provided feedback during this process. Their input helped guide our conversations and decision.
Mrs. Knight will officially begin her role as principal on July 1. Please join me in welcoming her back to St. Michael and keeping her in your prayers as she prepares to serve our school community. May the Holy Spirit guide her leadership and help us continue forming students in faith, knowledge, and service to Christ.
In Christ,
Fr. B**h
