Congratulations to the Granada High School Semifinalists in the 2027 National Merit Scholarship Program: Ann Hong, Keshav Manavala and Ryan Wang.

These academically talented seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition to attain Finalist standing and receive a National Merit Scholarship. These seniors were among the approximately 16,000 semifinalists named nationally, representing less than one percent of high school seniors nationwide.

High school juniors were screened for the program through the PSAT/NMSQT; semifinalists are the highest-scoring entrants in each state.

Introducing Our 2026–27 Student Board Representatives!

We are excited to introduce our LVJUSD Student Board Representatives for the 2026–27 school year!

Please join us in welcoming Taylor Conover (a senior from Granada High School) and returning representative Robin Deepak (a senior from Livermore High School). They were officially sworn in at last night's LVJUSD Board of Education meeting, formalizing their roles for the upcoming school year.

Taylor and Robin will be casting advisory votes on action items, bringing a direct student perspective to our district's decisions while keeping the Board and our community updated on campus life across our high schools.

We are thrilled to have their leadership and representation on the Board this year! 🧡🩵

Registration for the PSAT/NMSQT is now open for 9th & 10th graders. The fee is $25 and registration closes on September 11 at 10:00. We cannot accommodate late registrations. All 11th graders will be testing and registered for the test so no action is required. Test day is Friday, October 2.

The Counseling & Career Center will provide important information about four-year college application timelines, filling out college applications, application & college essay assistance options and more. Seniors should wait to submit college applications until after this event.

Matadors, we are excited to see you tomorrow for Matador Day! Please review the information below prior to coming on campus. For more information, please refer to the email sent to students and families.

Freshmen Schedule:
🖤8:30 am - Freshmen Rally in Large Gym
💛9:00-10:00 am - Freshmen Break-out Sessions
🖤10:15-11:15 am - Freshmen Pictures in Student Union

Students should report to the Student Union during their assigned times to take their photo. Photo will be used as their ID Picture and will also be used in the yearbook.

💛Sophomores - 9:00-10:00 am
🖤Freshmen - 10:15-11:15 am
💛Juniors - 11:30-12:30 pm
🖤 Seniors - 1:30- 2:30 pm

**All students who are new to LVJUSD should pick up their school issued Chromebooks in the Library in the morning. Students should meet back in the Library at noon to review Chromebook information and policies.
